ABOUT USThe association is affiliated to the NRA, and The National Shooting Centre of Ireland at Midland Rifle Club Tullamore Co. Offaly. As far as ranges go, we have 2 excellent 25 metre outdoor pistol ranges at Buskhill Road Donaghmore Newry Co. Down . The ranges are located seven miles north of Newry and seven miles south of Banbridge on the main Belfast to Newry road, along a stretch of dual carriageway. We can cater for most full bore calibre pistols as well as small bore and air rifles. See below for opening times. Safety is paramount in our sport. To this end, the club benefits from having among its membership a fully qualified instructor and assessor to run club safety courses. These courses enable members to proceed to competition level, both at home and abroad. Practical Pistol and various other competitions such as 1500s, Police Pistol, Service Pistol, small-bore rifle bench rest and others are held on a regular basis. RANGE OPENING TIMESSummer time range hours are Wednesday 18.30 to 21.00 and Saturday 10:00 to 17:00. Winter time range hours are Friday 13.30 to 16.00 and Saturday 10:00 to 16:30. Also note that club firearms and ammunition will only be available on Saturdays.
