A Little About Us

Northern Ireland Target Sports Association

The association is affiliated to the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the Northern Ireland Region WA1500.

Just a brief note to say thank you to all for the organisation of the shoot on Saturday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and my thanks go to all involved.

We have three 25metre and two 50metre outdoor ranges at our site on the Buskhill Road, Newry, Co. Down, BT34 1SD. The Buskhill Road is located six miles north of Newry and six miles south of Banbridge directly off the main A1 dual carriageway.

We cater for most full bore calibre pistols as well as small bore rifles and air rifles. See below for opening times.

Safety is paramount, and the club benefits from having among its membership 5 NRA qualified instructors and assessors to provide club safety courses. The courses enable members to proceed to competition level, both at home and abroad. Precision Pistol and other competitions such as Police Pistol, Service Pistol, Practical Pistol (IPSC & IDPA), Mini Rifle, Cowboy Action and small-bore bench rifle are held on a monthly basis.

  • Summer time range hours are Wednesday 18.00 to 21.00 and Saturday 10:00 to 18:00.
  • Winter time range hours are Friday 13.00 to 16.00 and Saturday 10:00 to 17:00.

  • What they’re saying

Looking good! We look forward to shooting at your club again this year. The people are the best. We have decided to skip matches closer to us to be able to shoot at your club because you make us feel very welcome and we have such a great time there.
